Do I need an architect if I want to build a house in South Africa?
A professional that is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession must submit the building plans before extending, renovating or building a home.
Hi I have a closed in patio under a balcony. I need to have the plans for the house amended to include these changes and then have the plan submitted to the council. There are two side that were closed in, one side is half a wall and a sliding window and the other side had a sliding door added. Good day I have done and still want to do further renovations to my house and need plans then to be approved, some renovations I am in need of some Ideas to move forward with. Renovations Incudes Roof over bedroom door, new door in guest room, removal of wall in kitchen, removal of cabinet in lounge, bricking in on small kitchen door, breaking through of Kitchen Double door, add a Wendy house and a Carport
