Do I need an architect if I want to build a house in South Africa?
A professional that is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession must submit the building plans before extending, renovating or building a home.

Looking at the following: Double garage and storeroom Open plan kitchen, dining, lounge Scullery/laundry Main bedroom, dressing room, bathroom Study or two separate areas we can work from – they don’t have to separate rooms Another 2 bedrooms and bathrooms or a shared bathroom Guest loo Patio / braai /fire pit Swimming pool – maybe Looking for a farmhouse style, maybe even a barn style Concrete floors throughout
Standard extension. I wish to know how much would it cost extend and how much would I pay the architect. I expect a reply as soon as possible.
