How much does an architect cost in South Africa?
The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) publishes "standard rates" based on a price per square meter when using a building cost of R12 500 per m².

Hi, we are looking at doing renovations in our new home and need an estimate of what it would cost to draw up new plans. We have an extended facility with the bank and they require plans, even if all structural changes are internal. We have a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom and 1.5 living rooms. A single garage etc. I have attached our current house plans. We are planning on knocking out the kitchen wall to open up the area into an open plan. We also want to knock out the wall between the dining room and steps leading down to the living room. We have already received confirmation that none of the walls are bearing walls. Please advise what the estimate cost would be to draw up new plans. Thank you,
