Do I need an architect if I want to build a house in South Africa?
A professional that is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession must submit the building plans before extending, renovating or building a home.

We have a 7 Year Old Double Story Home on a Farming Estate. We have over the past 5 years bought and replaced some furniture in and around our home, however, are really needing the assistance of a professional to give us some sketches and interior design ideas on the layout of rooms, how to utilize certain spaces as well as assistance with ideas for paint and furnishings to give the house a makeover.
I need an architect to investigate whether there was misrepresentation from a developer, the quality of construction activities, whether the finishes provided are at the same level as what was planned/offered, and whether there were breaches in any housing/ safety regulations. This is for housing development.

I own a property on Parow, its situated at 50 Provident North, Avondale, and would like plans drawn up of the existing property so that I can then plan how to do any renovations. I would like to convert our corner plot to a carport area with some I.R.B sheets to inclosing the open area that is facing the road.But we have completed the boundary wall facing the road with some vibracrete fencing which is 8slabs high and I have a good idea how to make use of it but I am going to need a good acritect to make sure that it is right way and to submit it to the original plans of the house.

The idea is to open a pub not going for a building though we hoping to get customized containers ideally it should be a bar on the bottom, a VIP area on the top and general sitting on the bottom also hoping to have a car wash and braai outside I just need help with the layout.
