The project manager was professional in many arears and always strived to complete the work timeously and delivering better quality
His builders were wasteful and did not prioritize quality and a need to deliver the project on time. What disappointed me was that the Project/Company owner barely knew their capability and wanted them to do everything which led to damage to material due to repeats and low substandard work on from brick laying to until they cut roofing support and did poor plastering and ceiling both which I am currently fixing at my own cost as he ensured to pull all the money when he realised his team is not delivering what he promised.
Thank you, Hector, for acknowledging that the project management was professional and that there was a genuine effort to complete the work properly. Planning, supervision, accountability, and site coordination are standards we take seriously as a reputable and regulated company. This project was agreed as a turnkey project, which meant material procurement was to be managed through my company. Instead, you took it upon yourself to buy the materials yourself, outside the agreed scope and contrary to how a turnkey project is meant to operate. As a result, some of the materials introduced to site were, in my view, unsuitable for the intended application, which affected both the quality and progress of the project. I also requested the approved plans at the outset, and as the project progressed, it became apparent that these issues were not properly resolved. The working relationship then broke down when payment arrangements were made directly with members of my team, without my knowledge and outside the agreed company structure for the project. When I raised this, you then indicated that the specific team should not return to site. At that stage, my other teams were already committed elsewhere, and I was not in a position to replace that team immediately. That is why the work remained incomplete. The photos therefore reflect an incomplete project, not the final handover standard, and it is not accurate to place full responsibility on my company. We remain committed to professionalism, proper project management, quality workmanship, and delivering our projects to the required standard.
