We have a rumbling sound from what we think is air in water pipes in the ceiling that occurs regularly. This has been an ongoing problem for approximately two months. We have had four plumber call outs (two plumbers). Bathroom tap washers and toilet rubbers have been replaced. Pipes in the roof have been secured. Finally, a ' Hammer Arrestor to the Cold Tap' has been installed. All to no effect. There doesn’t seem to be a solution. The rumbling even sometimes occurs in the middle of the night. Our geyser is on the front wall of the garage. About two months ago we had the geyser moved to a side wall in the garage as we were advised that it was to close to the electricity board and an inverter we had installed. I am not sure whether this could be the problem.
Dear Sir/Ma’am, I was hoping you could assist me. I have a house in a complex in Knysna and already have an 8kW invertor and 1 battery that has saved me through the Eskom two hour load shedding. I am now looking at installing solar panels and an additional battery. It would be great if you give me some more information on what solar panels I need as well as how many (my northern facing roof is about 25m2) panels I would require to charge the batteries. We are school which has over learners. Our electricity bill during winter is over R25 . We have photocopying machines and printers that are running everyday at our admin block.
