Good day, I am looking to build an AirBnB at a hillside plot in St Helena Bay (St Helena Views). The plot is amazingly situated - has the hills as its backdrop and sea view in front. I am looking to quickly build a small home which has large window walls/sliding doors and a deck. Minimalistic with lots of natural light. The hillside has a bushveld/dry/fynbos feel to it so I would like to create a space which compliments this. - The plot is m2 but the living area should be no more than m2 at the top most part of the property - There is a slope (i was thinking instead of excavating, one could use stilts to maintain the aesthetic) - Open plan kitchen, lounge downstairs - Large bathroom and bedroom leading to the deck where I am planning to put a hot tub for now. - Flat rooftop area just for views. - The estate only allows brick and mortar, and alternatively, nutec. They would allow wooden framing. - Cost effective Please see a few of the ideas attached. These buildings are larger. I am looking for a way to make get the same feel but on a smaller scale. Ita on a deck exactly similar to the one displayed on the attachments. The video attached is ons that was already done in regards to the paint being removed . These pillars are so difficult to remove the paint . Small gaps and difficult to get to every side . So a qoute for paint removal and new paint + restoration on most of the pillars . Cracks , broken concrete , etc .

I am a British contractor, married to a South African. I am coming to South Africa to build a house. I have my own architectural plan which I need to certify, pay for and permission to build the house as I have my own material. The house will be built using bricks, blocks with a simple roofing. As a contractor, everything will be done by myself and a few labourers. I would like your advice, collaboration and cost estimation regarding confirmation of my architectural plan and alternatively how much your own architectural plan would cost including that of council permissions. 1. Remodel an existing garage, with adjoining servant's quarter, into one big area (intending to use it as home office space). 2. Upgrade an existing separate servant's toilet, with new modern fittings. 3. Enclose an existing double carport, for use as a new garage. Or build a new double garage, depending on regulations. 4. Remodel/rebuild an existing lapa area with built-in braai. The current supporting structure is a combination of bricks and sleeper wood, with a thatched roof. Want to change the supporting structure to be bricks only and replace thatch with tiles, in full. Keeping built-in braai, in place. 5. Architect must be registered with SACAP; do all necessary drawings , applications and obtain approvals from our local municipality and work together with us and the local municipality for any requirements, inspections prior, during and after alterations. 6. Photos included, of existing areas we would like to alter.
