I used Procompare to find both an electrician and a roofing pro. I’m no expert, but I think the works on my roof were professionally done, there is no more leaking so far.
I needed a roofing contractor to repair my roof and I chose the one who gave me the best offer. He was kind, professional and he finished the works the next day after he called me. Thank you so much!
I urgently needed someone to repair my roof so I chose the roofing pro that called me first. He repaired it quickly and I think he did a great job. Even though it was an emergency, he did not charge more than the usual price. Thank you!
Your roofing quotations should include payment Information, approximated Timeline, costs, roof estimate materials, full description of work, guarantees and expectations of work, warranty, insurance and licensing Information.
When choosing any contractor to work on your property, you should make sure their work is of good quality. You should get to know their work better by checking through their documentation, verifying their web presence and speaking to them in detail about the job at hand and the process they’ll use to accomplish it.
It is best to repair a roof before a leak occurs. So be careful for possible damages if you detect any. You should also call for repairs if you notice granules all over your gutters or around the perimeter of your house.
How long your roof will last, depends on several factors, mainly on the quality of your roof and the weather conditions of your environment. In general, a roof should be as good as new for between 15 and 25 years.
Scope: Leak apparently occurred around a drain vent extending through roof. Roof covered with shingle type tiles. Complex more than 20 years old Some woodwork below roof has water damage. Extent to be assessed. Roof tiles seem okay but check required. Quote to include repairs and replacement of affected tiles / wood work / water proofing. Eaves covers and facia also have paint damage due to water leak(s). State if paint repairs are included or not.
Area want to cover is approximately 6x6 meters. It is a brick paved stoep area which would be attached to the house on two sides. Would like a quote for either a white or pearl polycarbonate roofing sheets of fairly good quality or a alluminium louvre roof. We have just removed the previous pollycarb roofing sheets as they were cracked and damaged.
Good morning, I need roof replaced. It has leaked endlessly, and none of the contractors who have patched it have succeeded in keeping it from leaking. We have patched every year, and every heavy rain comes right in. Recently, I requested re-roofing quotes from a number of contractors, and every single one refused to quote on re-roofing and quoted instead on torch-on and other patchwork solutions (which I explicitly asked not to receive). Please do not do this when you quote me! I find it disrespectful. I know that the problem is predominantly at the pitch change where the gradient becomes shallower. It is a construction flaw, as there is little to no overlap, and there is no flashing under the ridge. A look at any construction manual will make the issue crystal clear. Rather than re-roofing, I would now like a quote on changing the design of the roof. Ideally, I would like to raise the height of the roof to accomodate a single pitch from the apex to the eaves. I know that this requires an architect's involvement. The increased pitch should also accomodate an attic under the apex, so the apex height will need to go up at least 1m. The parapet walls will need to be knocked off to allow for this. Steel trusses may be needed instead of wood, but I am open to suggestions. I am a teacher, so this needs to be a cost-effective solution. I am not looking for a fancy loft, just an attic, and it does not need to cover the entire roof space, only the centre of the room. See attached floor plans. My first thought for roof material is pre-painted green IBR sheets, cut to the exact length, but if thatch, shingle or tile, for example, is more cost effective, I am open to advice. PLEASE DO NOT CALL, as I am in Uzbekistan. Email is fine. Regards,
The thatched roofing will be used on a lodge with gumpole structure. The size on plan = 78m2 On a slope of 45 degrees = m2 I'm looking for a square meter rate that will be applicable for other units as well. Rate should include the thatch covering, the gumpole roofing structure as well as the gumpole columns.

Good day, I am in the process of purchasing a house (which is still a construction site) and need a quote to finish the roofing system, beam filling, skylights and waterproofing. The house has a butterfly roof design with a boxed gutter running through it. The roof covering most of the house is on, but the part that is on requires beam filling. I also require new roofs over the servants quarters, playroom, entrance hall and lounge area . The building also has concrete slabs and a boxed gutter system which requires waterproofing. There are also skylights which will need to be put in. I have attached the plans of the property to assist you with the calculations.
I need to have 7x 10.6m zinc alums sheets and 2x 10.6m cleat polycarb sheets replaced . I also have a fireplace in the middle of the roof and need that sealed with sidewall flashing and soaker sheet waterproofing. All rubble to be removed. Sheets to remain on the property. Pics of roof can be sent on request via email or whatsApp
I haver an existing IBR roof with the following issues: Flashing removed at parapet joining at all resulting in leaks all over the roof. Pitch is too low. Wood used is and not . Wood is rotten at some places. Beam in lounge is not according to plan leading to sagging. IBR sheets is still the old solid IBR and can be taken off and put back. I am not sure what the damage is underneath
Could you please quote me on the attached plans for a house at 36 Hillary rd in Mountain Homes. I would like to know which would you recommend, a Chromadek or tiled roof. Could you give me a costing for both, and if you would include the cost of putting either up. An itemized quote would be useful (Tiles / Chromadek & with or without installation) , and the turnaround time for installation would help me plan accordingly. many thanks
