Recruitment for gym staff
We are looking for assistance in recruiting a strong Sales/Admin & Operations Assistant for our gym. The position is full time and based at a busy gym. This is not just a basic reception position. The candidate will be responsible for handling prospective member enquiries, selling gym memberships, assisting with member service, basic admin, payment follow-ups, membership profile checks and ensuring that front desk operations run professionally. The role will also include operational duties linked to the convenience store onsite, such as receiving stock, checking stock deliveries, assisting with regular stock takes, monitoring stock accuracy and helping to ensure that the store is kept neat and well managed. In addition, the candidate will be expected to help oversee cleanliness standards in the gym. This includes checking that the facility, bathrooms, equipment areas, and general member spaces are kept clean, presentable and in line with the gym’s standards. They do not need to be the cleaner, but they must be willing to take responsibility for noticing issues, reporting them and following up to ensure they are resolved. We are looking for staff with experience in any of the following: sales, customer service, reception, retail, hospitality, stock control, promotions, or a similar people facing role. or fitness industry experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. The most important qualities are confidence, reliability, strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to follow systems and work under pressure.
