We had a 8kW inverter and 20kWh battery (14kWh usable at new) system with panels and solar water heating system installed in which has come largely to the end of its life (batteries need replacing and MLT inverter is often malfunctioning). We are keen to get comparative quotes on repair and replacement of parts with a system with longer life span.
3 bedroom house, occupied by 2 people. An ultrasound machine is used on the premises to scan pregnant ladies from 14h00-18h30 , 4days A 24 litre pool is on the premises. Already installed is a 5,2 kw inverter Sunsyc with lithium battery(installed a week ago). 1 × btu airconditioner on premises. 1 × btu airconditioner on premises. We do make use of Led lights in the kitchen , hallway and main bedroom.
I would like a quote to supply and install 8 x AIKO-A-MAH72Dw (Dual Glass, Bi-Facial, Back Contact) panels including the clip-on tilt structure on my IBR roof and connect it to an existing string (adding extra panels to become and 8 NE, 8NE, 8NW configuration). No work is required on the inverter (roof work only). Alternative panel that is acceptable is the AIKO-A-MAH72Dw or if Aiko stock is a problem (which I suspect might be) I would also look at the LONGi equivalent LR7-72HVD (not the LR7-72HVH).
We are renovating a 3 bedroom house. 1st Bedroom 4 x down lights 3 x Plugs, 2nd Bedroom 4 x down lights 2 x Plugs, 3rd Bedroom 4 x down lights 2 x plugs. Kitchen 4 x down lights 4 x Plugs, Dining room 4 x down lights 2 x Plugs. Lounge 6 x downlights 3 x Plugs, passage 5 x down lights no plugs, bathroom 4 x down lights no plugs and toilet 2 x downlights no plugs. We are needing to replace the breakers in the DB board and run new wiring to the plugs and lights. There is no stove connection required. We will need a connection point for a solar geyser backup.
I need a couple of small electrical tasks done: - Installation of ceiling fan (I already have a new one, it needs to be installed) - Supply and installation of 4x dimmable downlighters - Supply and installation of new plug point and switch (for the above 2 items - there is a power point available) - Supply and installation of a new bathroom extractor (I have an old one installed already, it has power and everything, it's just not working so well, so need it replaced). 3 sets in parallel, each set 2 in series, thus 6 panels in total would be fine for what I need. 4 panels on the eastern slope and 2 panels on the western slope of the roof, should be fine. I have a Synapse 5K+ inverter and a battery already installed. My stove is on Eskom power and I have a gas geyser.
Hi, I'd like to get a quote for supplying and installing a surge arrestor on my home's DB board. Some context: I lost a PC to lightning-induced surge damage, so I'm looking to add proper surge protection at the distribution board level to protect the whole house going forward. I turned my geyser off prior to the water cut. After the water came back I turned the geyser on but 12 hours later there is still no hot water. I suspect the switch on the DV board is faulty as this has happened before. I called a plumber who unnecessarily replaced the element in the geyser only to discover the real problem was the switch.
