Do I need an architect if I want to build a house in South Africa?
A professional that is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession must submit the building plans before extending, renovating or building a home.

We have added a door between the house and the Garage ( Single door) We have an outside building we want to put a roof between the main house and outside room (4mx5m) We have a sliding door that opens onto a paved area which we want to add or extend the existing roof to up to 1.5m from the boundary wall ( neighbours are round about 3m away from boundary wall ) 5m wide but only 3 out I need a plan to put all the addition I made by myself.
